This was a winter morning as I drove from Hubli towards Udupi and found this place to be captivating set up of few Indian rural cottages nestled amidst a lush green landscape and lit up by the bright sun evoking a sense of peace and tranquility. I decided to change the color palette to muted blues, purples, and grays to evoke a sense of coolness and stillness, typical of winter. To me the painting celebrates the simplicity and charm of traditional Indian hamlet.

The painting depicts the mid morning light in the Dandeli forest, in north of Karnataka, India. It captures a serene and inviting woodland scene, evoking a sense of tranquility and peace. I have captured the actual arrangement of trees to create a sense of depth and space, drawing the viewer further into the scene through the long pathway The interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of depth and volume. The sunlight filtering through the trees illuminates the path and highlights the details of the forest floor.

This is Hampta Pass at 15000 ft in upper Himalayas depicting a serene and expansive winter landscape, captures the tranquil beauty of nature in the colder months. The snow-covered mountains in the background are sharply defined, standing majestically against a dynamic sky. The various shades of blue used in the sky enhance the cold atmosphere and add a sense of movement, suggesting wind. The snowy plain in the foreground is rendered with subtle variations in color and texture, which effectively capture the appearance of snowdrifts and frozen water. The details add depth to the scene and invites the viewer to imagine walking through this quiet, pristine landscape.
