Vikas V. Patnekar
In 1966 Vikas Patnekar was born, raised and educated in Belgaum district, a beautiful rural area that even today remains untouched by the concrete jungle, in the state of Karnataka in India.
For an artist, life is very interesting when looked at very closely. For the past 40 years, Vikas has been expressing his muse in watercolors. He learned under the guidance of Mr K. B. Kulkarni, who was an eminent artist in India. In the past Vikas had his shows in California, UK and in India.
His works are in the various parts of the world. Lord Attenborough the director of the film “Gandhi“ is a proud patron of his works. Several commissions are in his credits such as Macquaire Bank, Australia, Anz Bank, Australia, Executive production Manager for the film Gandhi, Australian Consulate, Consulate General of Netherlands, Consulate general of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thailand, Argentina, South Africa, British Dy High Commission, New Zealand, Switzerland and many more.

He was felicitated by the Consulate general of Netherlands for the achievements in the field of watercolours. I had my exhibition in Uruguay in the year 2019 and 2020. I was awarded as the International Artist of the Year 2019. There will be book launch on my life as an artist; it consists of my journey for the last 53 years. Read Less
